Daily Inspire!

Efficiency, Deficiency, Proficiency;

...And Solutions That Make Sense
"The Army Is not considered the most efficient of institutions, but when it finds a deficiency in fire power it does not launch a 'Right to Shoot Program' or a 'Marksmanship Recovery Project.'

"It gets the sergeants busy and the instructors out to the rifle range."
-Jacques Barzun

It is time to stop the paperwork, the endless meetings and trainings, the constantly changing curriculum and standardized guidelines and lesson plans, an instead to put proven teachers in the classrooms and give them the freedom to express their unique genius -- so they can inspire the unique genius in their students.

Our society rewards teachers so poorly on virtually every level, that it stands to reason that most people who choose the profession actually feel a deep sense of purpose.

This being the case, it would seem that other factors than their own will and ability to teach are inhibiting their success.

The job of Principals (so named because they were originally the "Principal Teacher") should be to keep students and teachers safe and to keep all outside distractions away from teachers so they can give their full attention to the students.

As Oliver and I have noted often, the early years in TJEd are well-served in many families when the Charlotte Mason style is applied.

This excellent article captures how one might incorporate math learning into kidschool in a Leadership Education home or classroom.
