The Right Kind of Study

The Right Kind of Study

"Twenty minutes of concentrated, untired attention is infinitely better than three hours of the kind of frowning application that leads us to say, with a sense of duty done: 'I have worked well.' "

-Simone Weil

Learning is not about accomplishing our duty, checking off a list of assignments, or impressing our superiors.

It is about deeply loving knowledge and passionately seeking to know more and more. It is, ultimately, all about fun.

If it is something else, it will be a chore, and we will give it as little focus as possible--or worse, too much of the wrong kind of focus.
