Make it Fun

There are so many ways to make learning fun for children in
Core and Love of Learning--games, activities, reading with parents, engaging
learning with older siblings, and so many more.
Fun is inspiring for children
and youth. Parents and mentors can do so much to make learning really
enjoyable.
Take 15 minutes and brainstorm every possible way you could better
inspire your children and students this week. The benefits of this
mini-workshop will be amazing!

Just for starters, consider all the amazing things you can do with play dough:
- Form numbers, letters, words and equations
- Create original art
- Depict the "feeling" of a musical piece
- Tell a story
- Play with prepositions
- Explore the relationship of colors and blends of colors
- Experiment with textures using combs, leaves, sticks, vegetables, etc., making imprints
- Study the features of a palm print, and compare different family members' size, print, the length and peculiar bend of each person's fingers, etc.
